The Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) course is designed to provide
students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of
preparing and interpreting bar bending schedules for reinforced concrete
structures. This course will cover the various types of rebar, the different
shapes and sizes of bars, and the tools and equipment used for cutting and
bending rebar. The students will learn how to read and interpret engineering
drawings and specifications, and how to calculate the lengths and quantities of
rebar required for a particular structure. The course will also cover the
different types of bends, hooks, and other details required for the proper
installation of rebar. The students will learn how to prepare a bar bending
schedule using industry-standard software, and how to use the schedule to
ensure that the rebar is correctly installed.
